Hamner Institutes To Offer Course On The Principles Of PBPK Modeling
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Jul 24, 2012 – The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences (http://www.thehamner.org) has announced that it will offer a one week course from Monday, Sept. 24 through Friday, Sept. 28 that covers the principles of pharmacokinetic modeling and the applications of the technique in risk assessment, drug development in vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) and the estimation of exposures from human biomonitoring data. The course features comprehensive lectures and extensive hands-on computer modeling practice, led by Drs. Harvey Clewell, Melvin Andersen and faculty from The Hamner’s Center for Human Health Assessment. Attendees may claim up to six hours per day for American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) CM credit.
