Center for Integrated Genomics

Director: Kevin W. Gaido, Ph.D.

Mission and Functions

Center for Integrated GenomicsThe mission of the Center for Integrated Genomics is to establish The Hamner at the forefront of toxicogenomics. Researchers affiliated with the Center are using genomic technology for the improved understanding of basic biological systems, gene-environmental interactions, and risks to human health from exposure to chemicals and other substances.

Key Center functions are to develop genomic competencies and technologies that facilitate research at The Hamner. The Center also provides training in genomics and bioinformatics to students, postdoctoral fellows, senior staff, and visiting scientists.

Center for Integrated Genomics

The Center for Integrated Genomics is developing the following capabilities in support of The Hamner's interdisciplinary approach to environmental health research:

Large-scale gene expression analysis

  • Functional genomics
  • Bioinformatics
  • Proteomics
